Meet the Family

Every dive center has a story - and ours wouldn’t exist without the incredible people who believed in it from the very beginning. So many have supported us along the way, but these are the ones who went beyond inspirational chats and kind words; the ones who rolled up their sleeves, jumped in (sometimes literally), and helped us get this dream off the ground.

We truly couldn’t have done it without them. This page is one of our ways of saying thank you. For every tank carried, every dive shared, every late-night brainstorm, and every ounce of faith that helped turn an idea into the community we are proud to have today.

Man of Mystery

Brian

Instructor | Man of Mystery

Our resident Irish man of mystery - at least until you see him on a dive trip. A PADI and RAID Instructor (plus a few other secret qualifications he’ll casually drop into conversation), Brian’s the guy who somehow keeps things calm and chaotic all at once. Always up for a laugh, a long dive, or a longer story after it, he’s part of the reason our trips are never short on entertainment.

    Emma

    Emma

    Dive Master | Chatty Cathy

Emma is a a full-time teacher by day and our bubbly Divemaster by weekend. Part Spanish and full of energy, she’s always on the move - whether she’s jetting off on a weekend adventure or out socialising with friends. Her laughter is infectious and her positivity fills every dive with good vibes. She somehow balances teaching, travelling, and diving with ease, and always brings the fun wherever she goes. One day she hopes to become an instructor, but for now, we’re just happy to have her keeping spirits high both above and below the surface.

      Gen

      Gen

      Creative Whiz | Drink pourer

We’re sadly losing Gen to the States soon, but she’s been an absolute legend behind the scenes - shaping our branding, refining the website, and making Neptune look as good as it feels. Her creativity, patience, and laughter have left their mark… and although we're secretly happy to not have a walking liability around anymore - we will certainly miss our inhouse drink pourer.

      Ishani

Social Media | Divemaster Trainee | Life-Science Researcher | Sporty Spice

A huge help to the start up, Ishani helps run Neptune’s social media, helps coordinates events like dive travel trips, and assists in sourcing sustainable retail items - a new initiative for Neptune. Now a Divemaster trainee, she looks forward to honing her skills with Neil and later, working with Jess to develop and deliver structured marine science and conservation programs.

      Jason

      Photographer | Token Aussie

A regular face at Neptune, Jason’s our token Aussie adventurer on every trip with an eye for the ocean’s hidden details. He combines his love of diving, photography, and exploration to capture moments most of us only notice once he’s shown us the photos. Whether it’s a calm house reef dive or a deep adventure trip, he’s always the one with a camera in hand, a smile on his face, and usually a story about “that one dive” you just had to be there for. Always up for a chat, a laugh, and another dive - preferably all three at once.

      Kat

Dive Master | Creative Whiz | Zen Master

What began as a personal challenge became a lasting bond with the underwater world. Now a PADI Divemaster certified through multiple dive schools (PADI, RAID, and UTD), she explores how diving builds awareness and calm below the surface. A qualified yoga instructor and creative marketing professional, she brings mindfulness and communication together to inspire safe, conscious diving and a deeper connection to the ocean. Driven by passion, she aims to protect marine life through active conservation efforts and education.

      Shaun

      Shaun

      Photographer | Braai Master

Our local braai master (that even Neil bows down to) and the man behind some of our underwater footage. These days, Shaun’s not around as often - apparently “work” (something to do with architecture and theming) keeps him busy, along with a fair bit of camping and fishing on the side. Even if he’s been cheating on us with other adventures, he’s still very much part of the Neptune family.
