With over 30 dive sites and more than 900 species calling these waters home, Musandam is a diver’s dream waiting to be explored. Our sites are divided into zones to help you plan your adventures - but trust us, there are plenty more hidden gems out there for those willing to venture off the beaten path. From colourful reefs to dramatic walls, every dive here promises a mix of adventure, beauty, and a healthy dose of “wow.”​

Sanat Cave

A naturally formed cavern an hour away from port. No surface restrictions and a maze of swim throughs as you exit the cave and head north.
Wonderwall / Ras Sanut

Sloping reef dive with a swim-through at 18m and exiting at 11m. Beautiful short wall at the most eastern point of the dive.
The Wonder Wreck

This small wreck lies in 12m of water (ran aground during a storm) and lies Northwest of the head land of Wonder Wall.
Ras Lima

Underrated dive site. Sloping coral reef littered with hard and soft coral from a depth of 11m to 25m. As you near the point there are pinnacles with a kaleidoscope of marine life. Excellent night dive.
Lima Rock - North

Sheltered site from prevailing easterly winds a rough water. Combination of sloping reef, pinnacles and short walls. Not as much biodiversity as the south side.
Lima Rock - South

Ras Morovi

Brilliant dive for coral enthusiasts. Best coral garden in Oman. The 2nd route is the sunken reef which is carpeted with green soft coral and starts at 15m and bottoms out at 31m.
Morovi Island
Site Type: Sloping Reef

Sloping reef towards the south on both eastern and western sides and wall topography on the north of the island. A channel separates Morovi Island from Ras Morovi. Barracuda often found in the channel.
Octopus Rock
Site Type: Pinnacles & Sloping Reef

So named after the underwater ridges that run off from the main pinnacle that resemble tentacles. One of the top 3 sites in Musandam. Sea horse are regularly seen here. One of two dives in the Musandam that are best dived on a rising
or high tide.
Ras Sarkan - North

A pinnacle rising to about 10m above sea level inside the southern headland of Ras Sarkan. Starts at 30m with some lovely maze type diving ending in 5m of water.
Ras Sarkan - South

Sloping coral reef starting at 5m and sloping to 18m on the drop in. The point becomes a wall with expected currents. Brilliant to hang around and watch the passing pelagics in the blue at this point. Turning south the reef shape changes back to sloping.
Habelyn Island

Right at the back of Khor Habelyn. Great dive in adverse weather conditions due to its protection at the back. Excellent night dive. Depths range from 5m to 25m.
Al Maqta

Located just inside Khor Habelyn, Al Maqta is a great 3rd dive or night dive to end a day. A combination of sloping coral reef and short walls. Ranges from 5m to 26m.
Ras Dillah

The northern headland of Khor Habelyn. Sloping coral reef and terraced reef characterise this site. Leopard Sharks often seen here. Depth ranges from 15m to 40m. Can be very current affected and best dived on a low tide.
Mother of Mouse / Umm Al Fayyarin

One of the best dive sites in the Musandam, with plenty of the fan favourite marine life to offer including the big shark and mola-mola. It also features stunning table corals between 5–10m.
Ras Samid

A vibrant shallow reef perfect for a third or night dive, featuring soft corals and marine life like barracuda, fusiliers, and turtles. Start inside the bay and follow the gentle slope east toward Ras Samid for a relaxed, scenic dive.

Ras Bashin
Site Type: Sloping Reef

This picturesque site begins as a sandy-bottom reef before sloping into a vibrant coral garden alive with batfish, angelfish, eels, and eagle rays. Starting inside the bay, the dive begins shallow at around 6–7m
before gradually descending into deeper waters rich with life.
Hard Rock Cafe / Temple Island

This gently sloping reef encircles a rocky island and features the remnants of a dhow wreck at 20m. Home to abundant marine life, divers can encounter shoals of pelagics and colourful reef fish.
White Rock / Sydney Opera House

An exciting site for experienced drift divers, known for strong currents and incredible marine life like whale sharks, trevally, tuna, and seahorses. Deep divers may explore the deep

Ras Kaisha - North

A gently sloping coral wall leading to a sandy bottom, this site is home to cowtail rays, parrotfish, lionfish, snappers, and angelfish. Its expansive layout makes it ideal for diving even in strong currents.

Pop rock / Kachalu

A reef that slopes gently to 18m before dropping into a vertical wall. This site is alive with giant trevally, rays, barracuda, snappers, and sometimes hammerhead or black-tip sharks. Known for strong currents - a challenging adventure not for the faint-hearted.

Eagle Bay / Ruqq Swayak

Ras Kumzar

Calculator Rock

Calculator Rock is a submerged sunken reef located about 400m northwest of Abu Rashid, best dived at low tide. The site is renowned for its abundance of nudibranchs, making it a fascinating spot for macro enthusiasts and experienced

Al Khail Island

The Royal Oman Navy Wreck

In February 2023, the Royal Oman Navy sank a decommissioned ship to create an artificial reef and a new dive attraction. This wreck, set in a naturally secluded area with safe currents, enhances the already rich marine ecosystem, providing

Abu Rashid

Salamah / Great Quion Island
