Master Scuba Diver

The Master Scuba Diver recognition is the highest non-professional rating in recreational diving. It shows you have significant experience, advanced skills, and a wide range of specialty knowledge. This course is perfect for divers who want to challenge themselves, explore new environments, and gain real confidence underwater.

Requirements to enroll:

  • Be a PADI Open Water Diver

  • Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

  • Be a PADI Rescue Diver

  • Have completed five PADI Specialty Diver courses

  • Have at least 50 logged dives

 

Theory:
This is largely a self-directed recognition program, but you’ll consolidate your knowledge from previous specialty courses. Instructors are available to answer questions and provide guidance to ensure all prerequisites are met.

 

Practical training:
While there’s no additional practical training required specifically for this rating, you will need to have successfully completed the required specialty dives and logged them appropriately.

 

What you’ll be qualified to do:
As a PADI Master Scuba Diver, you’ll be recognized as an experienced, highly skilled recreational diver with a range of specialties and the ability to dive safely in diverse conditions worldwide.

 

Achieving this rating demonstrates your commitment to diving, your experience, and your readiness to take on more advanced underwater adventures. It’s the ultimate recreational diving milestone.
