Emergency Oxygen Provider

When minutes matter, knowing how to respond can make all the difference. The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course teaches you how to recognize diving-related injuries and administer oxygen effectively - a vital skill for any diver, dive buddy, or dive professional.

It’s a dry, non-diving course, making it an easy and valuable addition to your dive education or workplace safety training.

Requirements to enroll:

  • Minimum age 12 years

  • No prior diving certification required

Theory:
Through PADI eLearning, you’ll learn when and how to use emergency oxygen, the different delivery systems available, and how to identify symptoms of diving-related injuries such as decompression sickness and lung overexpansion injuries. Our team is always available if you have questions as you go.

Practical training:
You’ll get hands-on experience assembling and using oxygen equipment, practicing how to deliver oxygen to both breathing and non-breathing divers. All training takes place on land using real O₂ units and delivery masks.

What you’ll be qualified to do:
After completing the course, you’ll be certified as a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider, qualified to administer oxygen in dive-related emergencies until medical professionals take over.

This course pairs perfectly with EFR and Rescue Diver training, giving you the confidence to handle dive emergencies with calm, capable action.
